This depends on your intended use for the space! If you plan to have your event utilize both indoor and outdoor spaces, the venue can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests. If your event takes place fully indoors, the space can accommodate between 50 and 75 guests, depending on whether you require banquet seating or a standing cocktail reception. We are a new venue and are still learning about how we fit alongside the many options available in Western Montana! Because of this, we are offering a 15% discount off our 2027 pricing for all reservations made in 2026. Our goal is to offer fair prices that remain accessible to locals, and we offer a 30% discount for 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. 

Rental of The Barn at Thunder Road includes full access to the barn interior, exterior, surrounding acre of lawn, and raspberry patch. We will provide 1-2 outhouses depending on the number of guests, as well as a handwashing station. We do not have indoor restrooms at this time, but plan to expand in the next few years. The Barn has outdoor light fixtures and string lights, dimmable interior lighting, ceiling fans, and a mini-split for climate control. Though we do not provide tables, chairs, linens, or other party items at this time, we can provide you with a list of local providers who are great to work with.

Guests are welcome to sample our raspberry varieties when canes are fruiting!

Additional costs may apply if guests are planning to pick large quantities to take home (U-Picking rates apply), but grazing is encouraged for all.

The Barn at Thunder Road is situated in the lovely Jocko Valley at the base of the Rattlesnake Mountains, with stunning views of Gray Wolf Peak. It is an ideal backdrop for engagement photos, family portraits, or day-of wedding photography. As this is also a working ranch, there will always be certain areas that are closed to access (there might be cows grazing!), so we will make a personalized plan with you to designate where is safe for you to go beyond the general venue space.

At this time, we do not allow overnight camping.
