WHY GRASS-FINISHED?

On Thunder Road Farm, our cattle eat grass, not grain, from the start of their lives to the day they are butchered. We choose this path because it's good for the environment—less greenhouse gas emissions—and for the health of grazing animals, which have evolved to thrive on pasture. Our grazing practices are good for you, too, since grass-finished cattle produces delicious, leaner, healthier steaks and burgers.

All of our cows are individuals, which means bulk beef orders are variable. The exact size and number of cuts will vary depending on the weight of the cow. Below you will see the possible range of weights and cuts for each order.
